The aluminum liquid transfer package heater is a critical auxiliary device in the aluminum casting process. It provides a stable heat source through methods such as gas or resistance heating, ensuring that the aluminum melt remains within the optimal process temperature range at all times. Its performance directly affects production efficiency and casting quality, so it’s essential to select an appropriate heating type and temperature-control solution based on specific production requirements.
Main functions
Heat preservation: Prevents the aluminum melt from losing temperature due to heat dissipation during transportation, thereby avoiding solidification or deterioration of fluidity. Heating: When the aluminum melt temperature is too low, it is heated to restore it to an appropriate pouring temperature (typically between 680 and 750°C). Temperature homogenization: By heating, the temperature gradient within the aluminum melt is reduced, preventing localized cooling or compositional segregation.Common heating methods
According to their heating principles and structural differences, aluminum melt transfer package heaters are mainly divided into the following types:
(1) Gas heater
·Principle: By burning fuels such as natural gas, liquefied petroleum gas, or diesel oil, a high-temperature flame is generated to directly or indirectly heat the lining of the aluminum melt ladle.
·Features: Fast heating speed, suitable for large-capacity aluminum ladles. Requires a matching combustion control system. Commonly found in traditional casting workshops.
(2) Resistance heater (electric heating)
·Principle: Resistance wires or heating rods are embedded in the outer shell or lining of the aluminum melt pot, and heat is generated by converting electrical energy into thermal energy.
